Voting is very easy! The only thing you should bring to vote is just yourself and your IC. But, what if suddenly your IC has gone missing? Here are 4 documents to bring for voting without an IC during PRU 15.
4 Documents To Show Apart From IC
If your IC is missing and you have your passport, just bring them to PRU 15 voting day! Our passport are one of the powerful passports in the world, so it is definitely one of the ways to identify ourselves.
2. Driver’s License
SPR also allow this document to bring for voting which is voters’ driver’s license to vote instead of IC. Just show your driver’s license and you are good to go.
3. Temporary Identification Certificate (JPN KPPK09)
If your IC went missing before PRU 15 and you only have a Temporary Identification Certificate, you can bring it as a replacement for IC. You will be allowed to vote as usual.
Here is how to apply if your IC went missing:
- Applicants need to go to any nearby National Registration Department (NRD) office for a replacement application for a lost identity card.
- It is necessary to submit a police report for the case of the loss of the identity card due either to crime (for the first and subsequent losses) or as a result of negligence (required for the second and subsequent losses). The police report must clearly state the details of the incident and mention the details of the lost Identity Card.
4. Receipt of Report for Lost Identification Card (JPN KPPK11), Certified By JPN
The receipt comes together with the Temporary Identification Certificate (JPN KPPK09), you can find it at the lower part of the document. Please note that, you can vote without an IC if the receipt of the Report for Lost Identification Card (JPN KPPK11) has been certified by JPN.
