Urbanscapes is back after seven years, and this time the whole of Kuala Lumpur is the venue. From 30 October to 15 November 2026, Malaysia’s longest-running creative platform rolls out a series of free experiences across Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Sky Society KL, APW Bangsar and TRX.
Under the banner Made Different, this edition puts artists, musicians, makers and communities front and centre, and starts the build-up to the platform’s 25th anniversary in 2027. If you missed our first look at the Urbanscapes 2026 announcement, here is your weekend-by-weekend guide to what’s on and where to go.
All Fortnight: Udara Fest at TRX
Studio Soüfflé’s Udara Fest places a trail of large-scale inflatables along a continuous walking route at TRX from 30 October to 15 November. Its playful forms contrast with the financial district’s clean lines, and it is easy to catch between other stops.
Weekend 1 of Urbanscapes: Creators Meet Heritage (30 Oct – 1 Nov)
CRE.ATE 2026 at Sky Society KL
The opening weekend begins with CRE.ATE 2026 by Cult Creative, running from 30 October to 1 November. Expect three days of creator talks, hands-on workshops, local businesses and a marketplace, with more than 3,000 attendees expected.
Shalma Ainaa, Kim May Chee and Dee Alimin will share how they built businesses and creative careers, a strong pick for anyone growing a brand online.

Past Forward at Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad
On 31 October and 1 November, Past Forward: Heritage Meets Tomorrow fills Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad (BSAS) with culture, coffee and conversation. The programme mixes musicians, workshops and talks, with PROMPT: KL Talks & Workshops, Process Magazine and monoLoque among the collaborators.

Music fans should head to Pentas Urbanscapes, where Laura Munan, Leaism and FUAD lead the live line-up, with more acts still to be announced.

Coffee lovers can catch the Shell Café Barista Cup, showcasing local barista talent. As Official Coffee Partner, Shell Café will also serve coffee and pastries from its mobile truck across three venues, plus KL Story On Every Cup tumblers designed by Malaysian artists Dania Mah (thatDania) and Adnin (Graphnin).
Weekend 2: A Millennial Rewind at APW Bangsar (7 Nov)
Long Time No See
The second Urbanscapes weekend is all about nostalgia. On Saturday, 7 November, from 11am to midnight, Long Time No See at APW Bangsar celebrates the people, places and memories that shaped Kuala Lumpur in the late 2000s.
Mimosa revisit the sounds of the era, while a Palate Palette pop-up and Back In Service food collaborations reunite familiar names from the city’s dining scene. Kena Sound Crew, Unwined, CK of Coley, Curbside Cantina, Grape Escape and YangYang Circus also join in.

Night Shift Exhibition
Stay on at APW for Night Shift, an exhibition curated by Roshan Menon and Callen Tham that explores KL’s nightlife between 1997 and 2003. Through flyers, posters, photographs and interviews, it shows how clubs became spaces for music, design and community.
Open from 7 to 14 November, 10am to 10pm, at 29 Jalan Riong, Bangsar, Night Shift also includes panel talks and a day party celebrating 10 years of Saturday Selects.

Weekend 3: Sunny Days Block Party at TRX (14–15 Nov)
Urbanscapes 2026 wraps up with Sunny Days, a next-gen block party at TRX on 14 and 15 November from 12pm to 10pm. It spotlights emerging voices across music, fashion, food, design and street culture.
Sunny Stage by Off The Track
Off The Track curates the Sunny Stage, with RESORT, Saint Kylo, Airliftz, Dametrill, Nyota, Backlog Band and Ira4ma on the line-up.

Curators Market at Market Lane
Over at Market Lane in The Exchange TRX, Curators Lab presents Curators Market, a mix of retail, events and activities. Between sets, refuel with Ignition Burgers & Pizzas, Tea Rock and Super Matcha, or join a round with Simply Mahjong and Friends Who Chess.

Good to Know Before You Go
As Official Hydration Partner, Spritzer will run a Hydration House at BSAS and TRX, while its Spritzer Story Sessions documentary series profiles the people behind the festival.
The experiences are free to attend, though some sessions may require registration. For admission details and updates, follow @urbanscapes on Instagram, Urbanscapes on Facebook and @urbanscapes.my on TikTok.
