Just after Apple announced to aid Malaysia with the flood relief, Xiaomi also take part in the contribution to donate RM400,000 for the country.
To help and support those who have lost their homes
According to Xiaomi, they mentioned in a recent press release that they have pledged USD 100,000 (RM418,000) to Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia’s emergency flood-relief fund. As well as World Vision Philippines for the post-Typhoon Odette recovery.

Last week, the floods that occurred throughout the country devastated many families just before Christmas. Many people had lost their homes and belongings. Brands and organizations have stepped up to help with the relief and recovery mission, this includes Xiaomi. Despite being an international company, they still believe that they want to be responsible and to give back to affected communities.
Previously, they had also assisted Malaysia through Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia in providing food supplies to 600 families.
