After emerging as the runners-up of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) Season 8, Malaysia eSports team Todak will be representing Malaysia at the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship along with Team SMG. Striving for the best, Todak aims to win the M3 World Championship title which will be held from 6 December 2021 to 19 December 2021.

Todak undergoes physical & mental preparation for M3

As reported by BERNAMA, Todak Studios Sdn Bhd eSports development manager Radzi Rahman said that the team emphasised mental preparation this time apart from physical preparation. The team players were sent to undergo training with psychologists to face and withstand the intense challenges.

Todak’s members

Radzi, who is also better known as Ikuto, said Todak comprised a mix of seniors and youngsters. The members include Muhammad Danial Mohd Fuad (CikuGais) and Zikry Shamsuddin (Moon) who helped them finish third in the first edition in 2019 at the Axiata Arena.

Wan Usman Wan Imran (4Meyz), Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Mohd Suhairi (Yums), Idreen Abdul Jamal (Momo), Muhammad Amirul Raziq Mohd Azman (Ajiq) and Mohamad Farhan Wakiman (Moyy) are also a part of Todak.

Our preparation has been solid. With better management, namely the presence of a coach (Muhammad Hazim Firdaus Ismail) and an analyst, we hope to bring home the trophy this time.

Radzi Rahman told reporters at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

The Malaysia eSports teams have departed for the M3 World Championship on Tuesday (23 Nov), which was officiated by Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

Speculations about franchise league

Meanwhile, there has been speculations about the MPL MY converting into a franchise league soon recently. Commenting on the speculations, Radzi said Todak is prepared for all eventualities. Although they would have to pay high participation fees to ensure the future of the team and their players, they are ready for it.

The veteran in the eSports industry looked upon the franchise league positively.

For me, this system is good to strengthen Malaysian eSports ecosystem, guarantee the future of players such as salary payment and is seen as a good investment for the team.
