In a grand celebration of Mentholatum’s 135th anniversary, Rohto-Mentholatum (M) Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Watsons Malaysia, contributed RM135,000 to 10 charity homes nationwide.
This generous donation is part of the company’s ongoing ‘Sending Love & Care’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign, expanding its mission to more vulnerable groups including children’s homes and elderly care centres.
Collaborative Efforts To Support Charity Homes
The donations were made possible through a partnership with Watsons Malaysia. Throughout October, the proceeds from the sales of Rohto-Mentholatum products at Watsons stores across the country were used to provide essential items for the 10 charity homes. These homes collectively care for approximately 1,000 residents, including from:
- Orphanages:
- Rumah Hope, Petaling Jaya.
- SHELTER, Petaling Jaya.
- Rumah KIDS, Subang Jaya.
- Pertubuhan Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR), Subang Jaya.
- Rumah Aman, Sungai Buloh.
- Women’s Shelter:
- Rumah Kita, Kuala Lumpur.
- Elderly Care Home
- Pusat Jagaan Al-Fikrah Malaysia, Kajang.
- Welfare and Care Homes:
- Ti-Ratana Welfare Society, Petaling Jaya.
- Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah (PPKKCTM), Petaling Jaya.
- Rumah Charis, Kuala Lumpur.

Beyond Donations: Sending Love And Care
This initiative was not only for sending donations and helping the underprivileged. The Rohto-Mentholatum employees all came together and visited these homes, engaging in heartwarming activities with the residents.
From delightful games to heart-to-heart conversations, the visits to the various charity homes were full of joy and lasting connections within the community. This initiative highlights how the campaign provided nothing short of love and support to those who need it the most, including the elderly, orphans, disabled individuals, and domestic violence survivors.

Our time with the residents reminded us that while monetary support is critical, personal connection and care are just as vital. We hope that through this initiative, we were able to bring smiles and create a meaningful impact in their lives.
