Food has always been one of the easiest ways for Malaysians to connect. Whether it is breakfast at a neighbourhood kopitiam, late-night mamak sessions or a family recipe prepared at home, local food often brings different communities around the same table.
This Merdeka and Malaysia Day season, foodpanda Malaysia is celebrating that shared connection through Satu Rasa Bersama, a nationwide campaign running from 16 August to 27 September 2026.
The campaign brings together food deals, limited-edition collectibles, activities and community initiatives while encouraging Malaysians to discover and support local businesses.
Celebrating Malaysia Through Food and Community
According to foodpanda Malaysia Managing Director Kenneth Soh, the campaign reflects how food continues to connect Malaysians across cultures and communities.
Through Satu Rasa Bersama, foodpanda hopes to encourage more people to discover local favourites while creating memorable moments with family and friends throughout the National Day period.
The campaign also gives participating restaurants and businesses another opportunity to connect with customers during one of Malaysia’s biggest annual celebrations.
Merdeka Savings With pandapro
From 16 August to 20 September 2026, customers can enjoy up to 69% off a 12-month pandapro plan by using the promotional code MERDEKAPRO.
The offer is part of foodpanda’s wider effort to provide additional value during the festive period, particularly as Malaysians order meals and everyday essentials through the platform.
From 31 August to 16 September, customers can also receive up to RM15 off selected grocery products from foodpanda shops and pandamart.
foodpanda Joins the Merdeka Parade in Putrajaya
The celebrations will also move beyond the app. foodpanda Malaysia will participate in the Merdeka Parade in Putrajaya on 31 August 2026.
Visitors can stop by the foodpanda booth for interactive games, rewards, photo opportunities and a chance to meet the platform’s Pau-Pau mascot.
A free one-month pandapro subscription will also be available exclusively at the booth, limited to 1,000 redemptions while stocks last.
Limited-Edition Pau-Pau Figurines Arrive This Merdeka

Collectors will have something extra to look forward to this year. From 31 August until 27 September 2026, foodpanda will release limited-edition co-branded Merdeka Pau-Pau figurine keyrings through selected restaurant partners.
Customers spending at least RM35 with participating brands can redeem an exclusive figurine. Partners include Bungkus Kaw Kaw, Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus, Sugarbun and Mixue.
The designs will be released in phases throughout the campaign and will be available while stocks last.
Satu Rasa Bersama Extends Support to Communities
Beyond promotions and collectibles, foodpanda says Satu Rasa Bersama will include community outreach efforts across Malaysia.
The initiatives will provide daily necessities and household items to communities in need, adding a social element to the Merdeka and Malaysia Day campaign.
By combining local food, merchant participation and community support, Satu Rasa Bersama reflects a wider idea behind the celebrations, that Malaysia’s diversity can be experienced through the simple everyday moments people share.
A Taste of Malaysia This Merdeka Season
From local food discoveries to Pau-Pau collectibles and activities at the Merdeka Parade, Satu Rasa Bersama gives Malaysians several ways to join this year’s celebrations.
The campaign runs until 27 September 2026. More details on participating merchants, promotions and activities are available through the foodpanda app and foodpanda Malaysia’s official social media channels.
