TP-Link Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi MARA have joined forces to help students gain real world networking skills and prepare for careers in the digital economy.
Through a new three year partnership, both organisations aim to close the gap between what students learn in class and what companies need in today’s fast growing tech industry.
Bridging the Gap Between Study and Industry
The collaboration focuses on giving students practical experience alongside their academic studies.
By aligning university learning with real business needs, UiTM students can graduate with stronger technical skills that are ready for the workplace.
This move also reflects a growing effort in Malaysia to strengthen connections between education and industry.
Hands On Learning with Real Technology

One of the key parts of the partnership is the use of TP-Link’s Omada enterprise networking solutions in UiTM labs.
This allows students to work with the same systems used by businesses, helping them understand how real networks operate.
Alongside this, students will take part in training programmes, technical workshops, and certification pathways such as the Omada Certified Network Administrator.
Clear Path from Campus to Career
The initiative also includes internship and industrial training opportunities with TP-Link.
These opportunities give students early exposure to the working environment and help them build confidence before entering the job market.
By combining classroom learning with real experience, students can better prepare for roles in networking and IT.
Building on Strong Demand for Tech Skills
This partnership follows TP-Link Malaysia’s earlier collaboration with Universiti Malaya, where more than 500 students joined certification programmes in 2025.
The strong response shows that there is growing interest in industry recognised skills, especially in areas like enterprise networking and digital infrastructure.
As more businesses invest in digital systems, the demand for skilled professionals continues to rise.
Supporting Malaysia’s Digital Growth

Beyond student training, TP-Link and UiTM will also explore joint research, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between engineers and academic teams.
This helps create a stronger ecosystem where ideas, innovation, and skills can grow together.
Efforts like this play an important role in supporting Malaysia’s long term digital economy goals.
