1. A Fantasy World: Anime X Classical
The KLPAC String Orchestra is back with a bang, and this time they’re fusing anime and classical music in a thrilling mashup. Led by their new Music Director and Resident Conductor Andrea Sim, the 50-member orchestra will take you on a musical journey through beloved animated films like Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Castle in the Sky.
The show will feature an impressive solo piano performance by Maxy Chan, who will play two pieces from popular anime films, Sparkle from Your Name and Ashitaka and San from Princess Mononoke. Maxy Chan has already established herself as a rising star on the festival circuit, having performed at notable events including the 10th Penang Island Jazz Festival, 11th Johor Bahru Arts Festival, and 22nd Kota Kinabalu Music Festival.
Classical music enthusiasts will also have a treat in store, as the show will include a selection of masterpieces such as Themes from New World Symphony by Dvorak, Vocalise by Rachmaninov, and two passages from Requiem by Mozart.

2. 劲歌金曲 3 Golden Melody 3
Mandopop enthusiasts have reason to celebrate during KLPAC Shows November 2022, with the upcoming release of the Cabaret Series: Golden Melody’s first-ever Mandopop volume. Featuring top singles, many from the 1990s, this volume showcases renowned artists such as A-Mei, Tom Chang, Jonathan Lee, Chyi Chin, and Jeremy Chang, Sally Yeh, Jeff Chang, Rene Liu, Wu Bai and the China Blue, The Power Station, Aaron Kwok, Jacky Cheung, Sandy Lam, Karen Mok, and Na Ying. 3. The 13th Malaysian Composers Concert Series 2022
The UiTM Conservatory of Music, College of Creative Arts, in collaboration with The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, presents the 13th Malaysian Composers Concert Series 2022. The series showcases innovative compositions and performances to strengthen the local music community and provide a platform for up-and-coming Malaysian musicians and composers to showcase their skills. It includes established and emerging artists and aims to preserve the nation’s musical and cultural heritage by featuring works of student composers, young Malaysian composers, and experienced locals. The series comprises four concerts, each with a unique theme and taking place over three days during the KLPAC Shows in November 2022.

4. MONO ‘Pilgrimage Of The Soul’ Asia Tour In Kuala Lumpur
In 2021, MONO released their eleventh studio album, Pilgrimage of the Soul, recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic. The album’s title reflects the band’s journey to this point, with its peaks and valleys over their three decades of creating music. With a creative shift that began in their 2019 album, Nowhere Now Here, Pilgrimage of the Soul is their most dynamic album to date, featuring new electronic instruments and textures, including faster tempos influenced by disco and techno. MONO’s unique sound is a combination of gloomy experimental rock and classical influences, resulting in their status as an innovative and exciting experimental rock band known for their attention to nuance and substantial payoff for patient listeners.
