During his tour, the King visited the Curated Makers Christmas Market, founded by Megan Jones through The King’s Trust’s Enterprise programme that supports over 40 small businesses selling handmade goods. The market will run at Battersea Power Station until 22 December 2024.
The King also engaged with local schoolchildren, community groups, and apprentices from the Battersea Academy for Skills and Employment (BASE), fostering a deeper connection with the community.
The visit included a tour of Apple’s UK Headquarters, where the King met Apple CEO, Tim Cook and festive carols by the Battersea Community Choir. To mark the occasion, the unveiling of a commemorative plaque was taking place in conjunction with the visit. The event concluded with a projection of Christmas artwork by local schoolchildren onto the Power Station and a live performance by an award-winning singer-songwriter.
