The Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards were always one of the major award ceremonies for us as kids back then. Now it’s a privilege to know that Malaysian content producers are receiving the international acclaim they deserve.
Aqil won “Favorite Asian Creator” at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, easily beating other nominees from the four different countries.
He was reportedly the only Malaysian nominated at the 34th Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California in the United States event which took place on Saturday, March 4.
The Malaysian YouTuber was nominated along with Gen Halilintar (Indonesia), HIKAKIN (Japan) and Niana Guerrero (Philippines).

Since local influencer Aqil Zulkiflee won the coveted blimp trophy for the Favourite Asian Maker category at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards (KCA) 2023, Nickelodeon Asia featured him on their Instagram page!
Aqil acknowledged the honour of representing Malaysia in his acceptance speech and revealed that he was taken aback when he discovered of his nomination for an award through email from Nickelodeon.

Aqil, a 27-year-old, began posting videos to his YouTube channel in 2020, under the MCO (Movement Control Order). More than 1.73 million people have been now following his account because of the lighthearted and funny things he posts.
He posts interesting topics on his YouTube channel such as travel, food, and unboxing videos. Aside from visiting Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, he has taken on the “24 hours in a swimming pool” challenge, uploaded a “Shopping Haul of Japanese products,” and many more.
He is also the owner of his own corndog business ‘Corndog Aqilicious’ which has stalls throughout Malacca and Johor.
