AIA Shared Services (AIA SS) has officially opened its new workplace at IOI City Tower 1, Putrajaya, marking a new chapter for its operations in Malaysia.
The move reflects the organisation’s long-term commitment to the country as it continues developing talent, technology-driven capabilities and operational support for AIA’s businesses across Asia.
More than a change of address, the new workplace has been designed around how employees work, collaborate and develop in an increasingly digital environment.
A Workplace Designed Around People and Collaboration
The new office combines flexible work areas with technology-enabled spaces intended to make collaboration easier.
Among its features are flexible huddle zones, global telecommunication suites and dedicated employee wellness areas. These spaces are designed to encourage interaction, knowledge sharing and stronger connections between teams.
Darryl Neff, General Manager of AIA Shared Services, described the workplace as an investment in the organisation’s people, culture and future.

AIA SS has also placed sustainability and employee wellbeing at the centre of the new office design.
IOI City Tower 1 is a Green Building Index Silver-certified development, while the office fit-out uses green-certified materials, energy-efficient LED lighting, smart building systems and dedicated recycling facilities.
Biophilic design elements bring natural light and greenery into the workplace. Community-focused spaces have also been introduced to support employee wellbeing and engagement during the working day.

A New Home Within IOI Resort City
The organisation’s new location places employees within the wider IOI Resort City ecosystem in Putrajaya.
First launched in 1995, the 788-acre integrated township combines offices, retail, hospitality, residential, leisure and recreational facilities.
Its commercial component includes IOI City Towers 1 and 2, offering around one million sq ft of Grade A office space. The towers are located next to IOI City Mall, which has 2.54 million sq ft of net lettable area and more than 750 retail outlets and kiosks.
