The Capitol Bandar Utama, the new integrated lifestyle hub by 1 Utama City Group, has unveiled its first wave of brands ahead of its soft opening on 16 November 2026. Petaling Jaya’s Tallest Commercial Landmark
Rising 215 metres across 32 storeys, The Capitol Bandar Utama is Petaling Jaya’s tallest commercial landmark. The mixed-use, transit-oriented development comprises twin Grade A corporate office towers above a six-level lifestyle podium, and is directly connected to the LRT3 Shah Alam Line via BU11 Station.
The development also features smart building management systems, energy-efficient solutions and EV charging facilities, and is targeting GreenRE Platinum certification.
Grade A Offices and The Oasis
The twin Grade A corporate towers offer approximately 1.3 million sq ft of office space, with flexible floor plates, floor-to-ceiling heights of more than 3.1 metres and landscaped sky bridges, giving businesses room to work, collaborate and grow.
Spanning four levels of office podiums with interconnected sky bridges, The Oasis brings landscaped greenery and collaboration spaces into the workplace, encouraging connection, creativity and balance throughout the workday.
Dining and Shopping at The Capitol Bandar Utama
The lifestyle podium offers approximately 300,000 sq ft of retail space across around 60 stores. Food and beverage makes up 45% of the mix, followed by health and wellness (30%), sports and recreation (15%), and grocery and convenience (10%). It is designed for office professionals, nearby residents and visitors, from morning coffee to after-work dinners.
Confirmed dining brands include Singapore’s premium Kiwami Ramen & Gyoza Bar, South Korean coffee brand Bean Brothers, South African fast-casual chain Galito’s and multi-award-winning homegrown restaurant chain India Gate. Contemporary Western dining comes from The Pantry by Bricks & Butter and Oak & Ivory, while Fowlboys Diner serves homegrown Nashville-inspired fried chicken. SE’INDONESIA, Indonesia’s quick-service specialist in traditional smoked beef rice, will also make its Malaysian debut here.
Everyday Living, Wellness and Lifestyle Brands
Neighbourhood grocer Qra, coworking network Common Ground and PUMP Fitness anchor the podium. They are joined by multi-award-winning early childhood education and childcare group Cutie Cottage, ZUS Signature Coffee, Ningji, Seoul Espresso, Dodo Korea and Sushi Plus, plus local favourites such as All About Chew, Anytime Acai, Inside Scoop, Ikat Tepi B289, hétam GO, Pulau Ketam Yong Tau Foo and Old Nanyang Coffee.
Wellness and sports names include Guardian, Premier Star, Eyez Optometry and MAC DUNNO + HAIR SALON, with more brands to be announced in the lead-up to the grand opening.
Health Capitol, Sports Courts and SkyHall
Health Capitol is a dedicated healthcare ecosystem of about 160,000 sq ft, bringing together over 120 medical practitioners across more than 20 specialties. Specialist medical services, diagnostics, rehabilitation and allied healthcare are all available under one roof.
On Level 16, an upcoming lifestyle floor will feature pickleball and badminton courts with panoramic views, alongside recreational spaces. The same level will house SkyHall, a purpose-built 10,000 sq ft event hall targeted to open in Q2 2027 for conferences, exhibitions, corporate functions and celebrations.
Getting to The Capitol Bandar Utama
Located at 18, Lebuh Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, The Capitol is linked to LRT3 BU11 Station by a covered bridge on Level 1, just two stops from 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Drivers can take the toll-free SPRINT route from Kuala Lumpur or use the NKVE and LDP, with over 3,200 parking bays on site.
