There’s something powerful about a brand that pauses to say “thank you.” Not with a billboard or a sales campaign, but with a celebration of the very people who built its journey.
At its 5th Anniversary Gala in Kuala Lumpur, HONOR didn’t just mark a milestone. It turned the spotlight outward, recognising loyal users, passionate creators, students, and unsung heroes through the newly launched HONOR of Malaysia Awards, a bold statement that success is best shared.
A Journey Built On Malaysians
In just five years, HONOR has risen to become Malaysia’s No.1 smartphone and tablet brand in sell-out market share for Q4 2025. In a highly competitive technology landscape, that achievement speaks volumes—not only about innovation, but about trust.
President of HONOR South Pacific, Justin Li, described the journey as one that felt like “a decade’s worth of progress compressed into five years.” Yet the brand’s success story is not confined to research labs or boardrooms. Instead, it has been shaped by real-world testing, feedback from local Beta users, photographers, and students who helped refine the HONOR ecosystem.
At the gala, outstanding supporters were recognised across eight award categories, including Super Supporter Award, Tough Love Award, Beta Excellence Award, Tech Consultant King, and Photographer of the Year. These individuals and organisations played a meaningful role in shaping HONOR’s growth in Malaysia.
HONOR Of Malaysia Awards
The highlight of the evening was the official launch of the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, a long-term corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative dedicated to recognising ordinary Malaysians who make extraordinary contributions to society.
Officiated by Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching alongside Justin Li, the initiative signals HONOR’s commitment to evolving beyond a preferred tech brand into a pillar of Malaysian society.
Through the HONOR of Malaysia Awards, the company aims to support individuals whose quiet service often goes unnoticed.
Honouring The Nation’s Unsung Heroes

Three remarkable Malaysians were named recipients of the inaugural HONOR of Malaysia Award:
- Mohd Adli Yahya, founder of the Autism Cafe Project (ACP), has supported over 100 autistic individuals since 2016, creating pathways for skills development, independence, and inclusive employment.
- Cikgu Prakash, a visually impaired tuition teacher, has travelled across the Klang Valley by train for 16 years to teach Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah—proving that dedication transcends physical limitations.
- Mak Jah (Siti Normala Adrus) runs a humble food stall offering RM3 nasi campur and free meals for students every Tuesday, ensuring affordable nutrition for lower-income communities.
Their stories reflect the true spirit behind the HONOR of Malaysia Awards: compassion, resilience, and service.
Capturing Malaysia For The World

Looking ahead, HONOR is also launching a National Photography Tour in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign. The initiative invites photographers to showcase Malaysia’s landscapes, heritage, and everyday stories through mobile photography.
Selected works will be featured internationally at the HONOR Global Exhibition 2026, bringing Malaysian creativity onto the global stage. Recruitment details will be shared via HONOR Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
