Jobstreet by SEEK has recognised Malaysia’s top employers and HR leaders at the SEEK People & Purpose Awards (SPPA) 2026, celebrating organisations that are creating positive workplace cultures and investing in employee growth.

Held under the theme “Where Work and Purpose Meet: Recognising Workplaces Malaysians Grow With”, the annual awards honour companies that successfully combine business performance with meaningful employee experiences.

Recognising Purpose-Driven Workplaces

The awards recognise excellence across several categories, including Top-Voted Employers, Employer of the Year, People Leader of the Year, Best Employee Development Program, Best Sustainable HR Practices, and Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

Unlike many employer awards, the winners are evaluated through a combination of public voting, independent judging and market performance, recognising organisations that deliver measurable results through their workplace initiatives.

Purpose Is Becoming More Important at Work

The awards come as workforce expectations continue to evolve across Malaysia.

According to Jobstreet by SEEK’s latest Workplace Happiness Index, purpose is now the biggest contributor to workplace happiness, ahead of salary, flexibility and career progression. While 70% of Malaysians say they are happy at work, 41% also report experiencing burnout, highlighting the growing importance of supportive workplace cultures.

The research also found that employees who are happy at work are three times more likely to go beyond their responsibilities and are less likely to leave their employers.
