Following the Budget 2023 presentation, the Minister of Finance has announced the list of initiatives to help Malaysians from all layers of life. Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) is the replacement of Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR). However, there are drastic changes made by our new government. List of BKM 2023 Category & Criteria
B40 & M40 Family
It is categorised based on salary and total household income so make sure which category you fall under based on the criteria.
<RM2500 With No Kid
Married individuals with no kid, and have the salary and total household income less than RM2500, fall under this category, eligible to receive RM1000 cash aid.

Parents with 1 kid or 2 kids under their custody who receive less than RM2000 salary and total household income are eligible to get cash aid under this category, with RM1500 aid.

<RM2500 Income With >3 Kids
This cash aid scheme with the amount of RM2000 is given to those who receive a salary and total household income less than RM2500. At the same time the individual has 3 or more kids under their custody.

RM2501 – RM5000 With No Kid
This cash aid scheme with the amount of RM400 will be given to those with salary and total household income from the range RM2501 to RM5000 with no kid under their custody.

RM2501 – RM5000 Income With 1 Or 2 Kid(s)
The cash aid scheme for this category under BKM 2023 is for those individuals with the range of salary and total household income from RM2501 to RM5000, with 1 kid or 2 kids under their care. They will be given RM600.

RM2501 – RM5000 Income With >3 Kids
Those with salary and total household income from the range of RM2501 to RM5000, also have 3 or more kids under their care will receive cash aid with the amount RM800.

Additional Household Rate
Single Parents With <RM5000 Income
For single parents with less than RM5000 salary and total household income, they will receive an additional cash aid of RM500.

Senior Citizen
Households with senior citizens under their care are eligible to receive additional cash aid with the amount of RM300 every month.

For single senior citizens with less than RM5000 income, they can receive RM600 additional cash aid.

How To Apply For BKM 2023
New Application
New applications can be filed only if you are not the recipient of the previous initiatives such as BKC and BPR. If you have never registered for any of the governments’ aid namely BR1M, BSH, BPN, BPR, or BKC, that means there is no data collected in the system.
To do so, you can register by clicking this link to BKM Hasil website.
Update Latest Information
For the past governments’ initiatives recipients, you can check your status, whether it is approved or not. If it is approved without needing any information updates, you are good to go.
However, if your application is not approved or needs any information updates, you can do so by clicking this link to the website. This can be done from 1st November 2022 to 15th January 2023.
