Triumphant Trials
The 19th World Silat Championship 2022 was held in Melaka at Melaka International Trade Center (MITC) in Ayer Keroh.
During the finals, Mohd Al Jufferi Jamari, Mohd Robial Sobri, Nor Farah Mazlan, and Nor Izzatul Fazlia Mohamad Tahir were crowned champions. Below are their matches and final scores:

More on the World Silat Championship 2022
Initially, the World Silat Championship was supposed to be held in 2020 at Sarawak, but was unfortunately postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the decision for the World Silat Championship 2022 to be hosted in Melaka was made on the afternoon of April 16, 2022 and was announced by Malaysian National Silat Federation (PESAKA) president, Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin.
Over 40 participating countries (which include India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan) and over 500 total participants.
Nine Malaysian exponents qualified for the finals on July 31 – five males and four females. The names of all the finalists are as below:

The next World Silat Championship in 2024 is expected to be held in Indonesia.
