More than 175 participants came together in Subang Jaya for Walk for Autism 2026, an event organised by Taarana to promote awareness, understanding, and inclusion for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Held at Tropicana Metropark Urban Park, the event marked the third year of the initiative and was part of Autism Awareness Month in Malaysia. Families, students, and community members joined the 3KM walk, showing strong support for a more inclusive society.
A Morning of Unity and Support

The event began with registration, followed by a welcome speech and a guided warm up session led by Taarana’s teachers and therapists.
Participants then walked side by side, creating a meaningful moment of unity. The simple act of walking together highlighted an important message that inclusion starts within the community.
Taarana’s principal shared that events like this help create a safe and welcoming space where families can connect and support one another.
More Than Just a Walk
After the walk, participants took part in a variety of activities designed to educate and engage. These included informational booths, games, and community sharing sessions.
Eight organisations were present, including healthcare providers and community groups, offering useful insights and support for families. These activities helped make the event both fun and informative for people of all ages.
Building Awareness and Understanding
The Walk for Autism is part of Taarana’s ongoing effort to raise awareness and encourage acceptance of individuals with autism in everyday life.
Events like this help break down misunderstandings and create opportunities for people to learn more about neurodiversity in a positive and supportive environment.
For many families, the walk has become a meaningful annual event that brings comfort and a sense of belonging.
Strong Community and Partner Support

The success of the event was made possible through collaboration between partners, volunteers, and supporting organisations.
Backed by RYTHM Foundation, the initiative reflects a wider effort to build inclusive communities and provide better support for children with special needs.
Since its establishment, Taarana has continued to grow as a recognised centre offering education and support for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges.
A Growing Movement for Inclusion
Walk for Autism 2026 shows how small actions can create a bigger impact when people come together.
By encouraging participation and understanding, the event helps build a community where individuals with autism feel accepted and valued in everyday life.
