As Malaysia prepares to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the government has announced a significant initiative to alleviate the financial burden on travelers during this festive season. In a bid to facilitate smoother journeys and enhance the holiday spirit, toll-free access has been granted to Class 1 vehicles on highways across the country.

As reported by the New Straits Times, the Cabinet has approved the initiation of toll-free passage for Class 1 vehicles across all highways throughout the country, commencing from midnight on April 8th until 11.59 PM on April 9th. Nonetheless, toll charges will remain applicable at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) and Tanjung Kupang in Johor.

This inclusive approach ensures that a wide range of travelers can reap the benefits of reduced financial burdens during their journeys. Whether individuals are commuting for familial reunions or businesses are facilitating transportation for employees, this initiative serves as a boon for all.
