Imagine a place where creativity is celebrated, differences are embraced, and every child is guided toward independence with heart and intention. That place exists and it’s called Taarana. At its recent Annual Day celebration, Taarana didn’t just host another event; it unveiled a future where neurodivergent youth can thrive with confidence, purpose, and real-world skills.
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when compassion and innovation join hands, keep reading because Taarana is rewriting what’s possible.
Taarana’s Annual Day Shines With Purpose
Taarana’s Annual Day 2025 wasn’t just a showcase of performances — it was a beautiful testimony to student growth. From courage-filled stage acts to heartwarming family moments, every performance reflected progress, patience, and perseverance.
Datin Seri Umayal Eswaran, Chairperson of RYTHM Foundation, captured the spirit perfectly: “Education is the foundation, but opportunity is the bridge.” At Taarana, students are not only learning, they’re stepping into the world prepared, empowered, and proud of who they are.
The New Vocational Programme: A Pathway To Independence

Here’s the big news: Taarana is launching a groundbreaking Vocational Programme for neurodivergent youth in 2027. This programme is designed for individuals aged 16–25 and focuses on:
- Hands-on practical skills
- Supportive learning environments
- Real-life work readiness
- Pathways to meaningful employment
This is not just another school offering, it’s a complete lifelong journey. From early childhood foundations to adolescence and now vocational learning, Taarana ensures that every learner has a continuous path to independence.
‘The Magic of Recycling’ Takes The Stage
In true Taarana fashion, innovation also came wrapped in creativity. The school unveiled The Magic of Recycling, an interactive workbook created by teacher Joanne Matilda John. With colourful visuals and engaging activities, the book turns sustainability into an accessible, exciting adventure for both neurotypical and neurodivergent children.
And the launch? Absolutely on brand. Teachers performed using props made completely from recycled materials, tying back to Taarana’s ongoing ZeroWaste Project. Talk about walking the talk!
This initiative will continue growing in 2026 through partnerships with environmental NGOs, proving that Taarana isn’t just teaching sustainability; it’s living it.
Teachers, Therapists, And Families United

At the heart of Taarana isn’t just its programmes, it’s the people. This Annual Day honoured long-serving staff such as:
- Noor Irni Hanida, Occupational Therapist – 10 years of dedication
- Loke Angie, Early Transition Teacher – 5 years of nurturing growth
Their commitment shows how much love and expertise flows into every child’s journey. As countless parents shared during the event, Taarana is more than a school. It’s a community where patience, trust, and belief create miracles every single day.
The Parent Support Group echoed this sentiment beautifully, noting how consistent support has helped children blossom far beyond expectations.
