Skechers Malaysia has officially opened its first-ever standalone megastore in Melaka, marking a major expansion milestone for the global footwear and lifestyle brand in the country.
Located at Tarcor Park, the new 16,592-square-foot retail space is now the largest Skechers store in Melaka and introduces a premium outlet concept designed around comfort, accessibility, and lifestyle-driven shopping experiences.
The opening also reflects the growing importance of experiential retail as brands look beyond traditional shopping formats to attract consumers.
A Larger Retail Experience in Melaka
The Skechers Tarcor Park Megastore brings together the brand’s full range of footwear, apparel, and accessories for men, women, and children under one roof.
The spacious layout allows shoppers to explore a broader product selection, including popular collections such as Hands Free Slip-ins® and Foamies alongside lifestyle and performance products.
Designed with clean architectural lines and open spaces, the store aims to create a more comfortable and modern shopping environment for visitors.
According to Skechers Southeast Asia Managing Director Zann Lee, the megastore reflects the brand’s commitment to delivering comfort, value, and greater accessibility to Malaysian consumers.
Skechers and KOI Thé Launch World-First Collaboration

One of the biggest highlights of the megastore is the world’s first Skechers x KOI Thé in-store collaboration.
The integrated café concept allows customers to enjoy beverages and desserts while shopping, blending retail with café culture in a single lifestyle-focused space.
Inspired by Skechers’ signature blue packaging, the café features a “transparent shoebox” concept with blue-tinted glass panels and social-media-friendly interior design elements.
The collaboration highlights how brands are increasingly combining food, fashion, and lifestyle experiences to create more engaging retail destinations.
Strengthening Skechers’ Presence in Malaysia
The Tarcor Park opening further expands Skechers’ footprint in Melaka, complementing its existing locations at AEON Mall Bandaraya Melaka, Mahkota Parade, and Dataran Pahlawan.
The launch ceremony was officiated by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Bin Yusoh alongside Skechers Southeast Asia leadership and industry representatives.
Performances including kompang and lion dance presentations were also held as part of the official opening celebration.
For Skechers, the megastore represents more than a retail expansion. It signals the company’s broader push into destination-style shopping experiences built around comfort, lifestyle, and accessibility.
Retail Trends Continue Evolving

As consumer expectations shift, retailers are increasingly focusing on experiential concepts that encourage longer visits and stronger lifestyle engagement.
Large-format stores, café integrations, and experience-led layouts are becoming more common as brands compete to stand out in a crowded retail environment.
For Melaka, the arrival of the megastore also reflects continued commercial activity and consumer growth within the state’s retail sector.
