YB Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications has officiated the stamp launch of the “Palestin Merdeka” Stamp issued by Pos Malaysia. The stamp showcases an artistic philately that depicts the united stand of peace and Pos Malaysia’s impactful demonstration of solidarity. This has been a powerful movement to promote human rights among everyone.
A Symbol Of Peace With Pos Malaysia
The “Palestin Merdeka” stamp showcases a powerful image of a hand waving the Palestinian flag, set against a silhouette of people to represent a united crowd. This stamp has been designed thoughtfully to show Malaysia’s collective aspiration for lasting peace.
The first-day cover features a white dove holding an olive branch with its beak, which is a universal symbol of peace. On the folder cover, a pair of hands clasping each other signifies Malaysia’s deep commitment to peace while the Keffiyeh motif in the background is a symbol of persistence and solidarity.
YB Fahmi Fadzil has also expressed his hopes for this stamp to be a reminder of where peace and justice is a shared responsibility.
He stated,
May this stamp be a reminder to all of us that peace and justice in Palestine is not only their responsibility, but also the shared responsibility of all mankind.
YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister Of Communications Malaysia
