LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort has launched the LEGOLAND School Challenge 2026, marking the return of one of Asia’s largest LEGO-based school competitions. The event brings together students from across the region to explore creativity, teamwork, and innovation through hands-on learning.
Since it began in 2022, the competition has grown into a regional platform, attracting participants from schools across Asia and encouraging young minds to learn through play.
A Creative Challenge for Young Builders

This year’s theme, “Ultimate Theme Park Ride,” invites students to design their own imaginative attractions using LEGO bricks. Teams of three to four students will compete across three age groups, from young learners to secondary school students.
Participants are encouraged to create unique concepts, whether futuristic, underwater, or fantasy-based, while including elements like moving parts and storytelling in their designs.
New Features for 2026
The 2026 edition introduces several new elements to make the competition more exciting. One key highlight is the live speed build finale, which now plays a bigger role in judging.
Finalists will also have more time to complete their builds, while a new challenge invites parents and teachers to join in the fun, making it a more engaging experience for everyone involved.
Rewards and Opportunities

Top teams will stand a chance to win exciting prizes, including trips to LEGOLAND destinations. Winners from selected categories will travel to LEGOLAND Shanghai, while younger champions will enjoy a trip to LEGOLAND Malaysia.
Finalists will also take part in a live grand finale event and have their creations displayed to visitors, giving them a chance to showcase their ideas on a larger stage.
