Ikano Centres is set to enhance the retail and dining experience in Malaysia with the introduction of two new dining hubs in Petaling Jaya and Johor Bahru. Scheduled to open in December 2026, IPC Gourmet Hall and Toppen Foodland aim to create more vibrant spaces where people can gather, dine, and connect.
The move reflects the growing importance of food and social experiences in everyday life, especially in shopping destinations.
New Dining Spaces for Communities
The upcoming IPC Gourmet Hall at IPC Shopping Centre is designed as a comfortable and welcoming space. It will bring together a mix of food options in a setting that encourages people to relax and enjoy their meals.
With a size of 43,000 sq. ft. and 39 outlets, the space will include greenery, calm colours, and flexible seating areas to suit both groups and individuals.
A Vibrant Hub in Johor Bahru
In Johor Bahru, Toppen Shopping Centre will introduce Toppen Foodland, a lively dining space built around the idea of “new eats, new vibes.”
Spanning 35,000 sq. ft. with 32 outlets, the space will offer a mix of restaurants and quick dining options. Its modern design is aimed at creating a casual and social environment for visitors.
Enhancing the Retail Experience

Both dining hubs are part of Ikano Centres’ effort to improve the overall shopping experience. By combining food, retail, and social spaces, the centres aim to attract more visitors and encourage longer stays.
With IKEA as a key anchor, the integrated retail environment helps increase foot traffic and supports a wide range of businesses within the centres.
Supporting Lifestyle and Community Growth
As lifestyles continue to evolve, shopping centres are becoming more than just places to shop. They are turning into social spaces where people can spend time, connect, and enjoy everyday moments.
Ikano Centres’ latest development reflects this shift by focusing on experiences that bring communities together.
