Guinness Malaysia is rewriting the rules of job hunting by opening applications for a one-of-a-kind position, the Chief Pint Officer (CPO). This role isn’t about resumes but it’s about recognizing quality in every pint of Guiness Draught. If you know your pours, this could be your moment.
What It Takes to Join
To enter, applicants must be non-Muslim Malaysians aged 21+. The challenge? Spot a perfect pour, master the iconic Tilt Test, and share the winning photo on Instagram. Post it to @GuinnessMY with @GuinnessTiltMY. Each valid entry brings you closer to the top of the leaderboard and potentially an exclusive backstage pass to the world of Guinness.
Additionally, to sharpen your skills, Guinness is hosting CPO Open Days at 25 bars nationwide. You’ll learn the six-step Guinness pour and the 7Cs including Cleanliness, Coldness, and Confidence among them, straight from brand ambassadors. Both bar visits and at-home pours count, as long as they pass the Tilt Test.
Rewards and Recognition
Submit your best pints by 31 July 2025. The top 20 contestants will advance to the Guinness Leadership Programme, which teaches pouring mastery and brand craftmanship. The grand prize? The prestigious CPO title, accompanied by a once-in-a-lifetime package:
- An all-expenses-paid trip to Dublin, including a visit to the Guinness Storehouse.
- Monthly Guinness supplies, VIP event access, RM100 credit at Authur’s Storehouse, and an RM888 birthday celebration.
It’s more than a job but it’s a craft powered by passion and precision.
How to Enter, Pour, and Win
Visit any bar or pour a Guinness Draught in a Can (GDIC) at home, into a clear glass. Perform the Tilt Test (Tilt the pint; no spilling means it’s perfect), snap a photo, and post it online. Track your standing via Guinness Malaysia’s weekly leaderboard on Instagram Stories.
Ultimately, this playful yet meaningful search emphasizes the pride and ritual in every properly poured pint. Could you pour the perfect pint and become Malaysia’s first Chief Pint Officer?
