A Global Economic Powerhouse Poised for International Investment
The Greater Bay Area has a population of about 86 million and a GDP over USD 2 trillion. It is a globally recognized economic powerhouse with a large percentage of China’s wealthy individuals. An estimated 12.9 to 17.2 million wealthy people live in cities like Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. This wealth concentration boosts the region’s potential for large-scale investments, including in Malaysia.
“The Greater Bay Area offers great potential for economic cooperation with Malaysia,” said Dr. Jonathan Choi. “Key sectors include finance, technology, and green energy,” he added. “Our goal is to create innovation-driven partnerships that promote prosperity and open new development avenues.”
