Formed through a powerful public-private collaboration with Allianz Malaysia Berhad, Hong Leong Bank, PERKESO, and Hong Leong Yamaha Motor, pandasafe is more than a safety pledge. The initiative was unveiled at foodpanda’s headquarters in a ceremony officiated by YB Anthony Loke, Minister of Transport Malaysia. He praised the effort as a model for how the gig economy can be supported sustainably by saying:
