Transport Minister, Anthony Loke addressed his concerns that around 14,000 students are yet to redeem their flight ticket subsidy. According to Malay Mail, Anthony Loke expressed his hopes for the remaining eligible students to redeem this voucher by 31st December 2023 during the launching ceremony of the FLYsiswa Program at Kompleks Perdanasiswa Auditorium in Universiti Malaya.
He stated,
I hope to publicise this initiative so that the students would redeem the aid before December 31, but they can collect their flight tickets any time next year whether it be during festive season or holiday season.

Students who are eligible to receive this subsidy are all Malaysian students studying at public institutions in 2023 (still registered with public institutions until 30 June 2023) in the following categories:
- Originating from Sabah, Sarawak, or the Federal Territory of Labuan (based on permanent address) claiming in Peninsular Malaysia
- Originating from Peninsular Malaysia (based on permanent address) claiming in Sabah, Sarawak, or the Federal Territory of Labuan
- Originating from Sabah (based on permanent address) claiming in Sarawak or the Federal Territory of Labuan
- Originating from Sarawak (based on permanent address) claiming in Sabah or the Federal Territory of Labuan
- Originating from the Federal Territory of Labuan (based on permanent address) claiming in Sabah or Sarawak

Here’s How To Redeem The Voucher!
Students could use Malaysia Airlines (including MASwings and Firefly), AirAsia, and Batik Air to redeem the RM300 flight subsidy as a digital voucher. The credit is good to be used until 31st December 2024, during the travel period.
Here’s how you can redeem your RM300 voucher from respective airlines:
1. Malaysia Airlines

- Sign up to register as an MHexplorer member
- Login to the MHexplorer portal and select FLYsiswa
- Enter the RM300 FLYsiswa voucher details during your checkout
2. AirAsia

- Click ‘Redeem Now’
- Submit your information via Google Forms to receive a code via email
- Login to AirAsia Member and proceed to book your flight
- Enter the voucher code during the checkout process to use the RM300 FLYsiswa credit
3. Batik Air

- Submit your details to receive the voucher via email
- Enter the voucher code during checkout
Students who initially claimed the voucher through MYairlines are allowed to claim their voucher once again using different airlines following their suspension.
