
ASICS Malaysia is bringing back its flagship campus tournament with the launch of the ASICS Badminton University Championship 2026 and Invitational Cup 2026.
Taking place from 24 to 28 June 2026 at Arena Badminton DBKL Cheras, the event aims to provide university athletes with a competitive platform to showcase their skills while gaining valuable match experience.
A Bigger Stage for University Athletes
The tournament will feature participants from public, private, and international universities across Malaysia.
The ASICS Badminton University Championship will run from 24 to 26 June, while the Invitational Cup from 26 to 28 June will introduce a mixed-team format that includes both local and international institutions.
Supporting Talent Development Through Sport
Badminton remains one of Malaysia’s most popular sports, and ASICS sees university competitions as an important pathway for talent development.
The tournament is designed to help young athletes build confidence, discipline, and resilience while competing at a higher level.
According to ASICS Malaysia Country Manager Boon Tib Soom Nik, the championship reflects the brand’s commitment to supporting badminton at every stage of an athlete’s journey.
Multiple Categories and Competitive Format

The University Championship will include Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, as well as Bakat Baru (New Talent) divisions.
Meanwhile, the Invitational Cup will feature Mixed Doubles, Men’s Singles, and Men’s Doubles categories in a team-based competition.
All matches will be played using a 15-point, best-of-three format.

Alongside the tournament, ASICS will highlight its latest SS26 indoor court shoe collection.

Registration Now Open
Registration for the championship closes on 9 June 2026.
Fees start from RM55 for singles events, RM110 for doubles categories, and RM450 per team for mixed-team competitions.
ASICS expects strong participation from universities across Malaysia and abroad, further strengthening the tournament’s role as a platform for emerging badminton talent.
