PETALING JAYA: The search for Malaysia’s next motorcycle racing stars has a new backer. CelcomDigi, through its Arena CelcomDigi platform, has teamed up with ZK Racing Team to support MotoMini Malaysia, a grassroots initiative that nurtures young riders from their very first laps on the track.
The partnership aims to get more young Malaysians into motorcycle racing, while stressing what it really takes to go far in the sport: long-term development, professional coaching and proper competition exposure.
For CelcomDigi, it is part of a wider commitment to building tomorrow’s champions by creating opportunities for young Malaysians to pursue their sporting ambitions and realise their potential.

Two Young Riders to Be Picked Through MotoMini Malaysia
As part of the collaboration, two promising young riders from MotoMini Malaysia will be identified and supported in their racing journey.
They will not be learning alone. The selected riders will get to gain insights from Hakim Danish and Qabil Irfan, two young Malaysians who have already made their mark on the international stage, through mentoring and sharing sessions.
These sessions are designed to pass on first-hand lessons from competing at the highest levels of international motorcycle racing, the kind of experience that is hard to find anywhere else.
Building on Arena CelcomDigi’s Support for Local Talent
The tie-up builds on Arena CelcomDigi’s existing support for Malaysian motorsport talents, including Hakim and Qabil themselves.
It also fits the platform’s bigger ambition of connecting Malaysians through active lifestyles and sports, an effort that already reaches young footballers through Arena CelcomDigi. CelcomDigi, Malaysia’s largest mobile network operator with more than 20.3 million users on its network, has also backed youth programmes such as Junior Innovathon 2026.
“Sports Have the Power to Connect Malaysians”
CelcomDigi’s Head of Brand & Marketing Services, Chan May Ling, said the partnership is about opening doors for aspiring talents.
“We believe sports have the power to connect Malaysians while creating opportunities for aspiring talents to pursue their dreams. Through our partnership with ZK Racing Team and MotoMini Malaysia, alongside our ongoing support for riders such as Hakim Danish and Qabil Irfan, we hope to inspire more young Malaysians to pursue their passion for motorsports and believe in how far they can go.”
She added that the company is committed to nurturing the country’s future racing talent “by connecting them to the opportunities, exposure and experiences they need to thrive and one day compete on the world stage.”
ZK Racing Wants a Stronger Talent Pipeline
ZK Racing Director Zulfahmi Khairuddin said MotoMini Malaysia was established to give young riders the opportunity to learn, compete and develop from an early age.
“By partnering with CelcomDigi, we hope to attract more young Malaysians to take up the sport and equip aspiring riders with the exposure and guidance needed to advance in their racing journey. Ultimately, our goal is to develop a stronger pipeline of talent capable of competing with the very best on the international stage.”
