Home-grown biscuit brand Munchy’s Malaysia is celebrating its 35th anniversary by giving back to the country it has grown alongside.
The company has announced an RM500,000 in-kind product contribution for Malaysia’s National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 celebrations. It is Munchy’s largest contribution to the national celebrations so far and its third consecutive year of support.
Celebrating 35 Years Alongside Malaysians
The contribution was officially presented to Communications Minister YB Dato’ Seri Fahmi Fadzil during a handover ceremony organised by the Ministry of Communications in Putrajaya.
Munchy’s Malaysia CEO Rodney Wong said the milestone reflects the company’s long relationship with Malaysians from different generations and backgrounds.
“For 35 years, Munchy’s has grown alongside Malaysia and become part of the everyday lives of Malaysians across generations and backgrounds,” he said.
According to Wong, National Day and Malaysia Day offer the company an opportunity to celebrate that journey while giving back to Malaysians who have supported the brand over the years.
Products to Be Shared During National Celebrations
Munchy’s products will be distributed through selected programmes and activities held in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day 2026.
The contribution will allow participants, members of the public and communities across the country to enjoy the products as part of the celebrations.
Munchy’s first began supporting the national celebrations in 2024. Its RM500,000 contribution this year represents its biggest commitment to date as the company marks its 35th year as a Malaysian brand.
Bringing Malaysians Together Through Shared Moments
Beyond celebrating its own anniversary, the initiative highlights how established home-grown businesses can take part in occasions that bring communities together.
For Munchy’s, the contribution centres on creating simple shared moments during two important celebrations of Malaysia’s identity, diversity and progress.
After 35 years, the company says it remains committed to growing alongside Malaysia while supporting initiatives that strengthen connections between Malaysians.
