Lenovo is a crucial behind-the-scenes partner for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, delivering the AI-powered infrastructure that will be the backbone of world-class broadcasting, tournament operations, and fan experiences.
Lenovo will tap into cutting-edge servers, devices and AI solutions to manage one of the biggest sporting events in history, spanning three host countries, 48 teams and an estimated six billion fans around the globe, as FIFA’s Official Technology Partner.
Support for Real-Time Broadcast & Tournament Operations

The backbone of the deployment is Lenovo’s near real-time AI infrastructure, built for IPTV video distribution, content delivery and critical tournament operations.
The company will have servers installed at FIFA’s International Broadcast Center in Dallas, helping to process and distribute live match content to more than 1,000 screens across FIFA venues with a delay of less than five seconds.
Lenovo technology will also power FIFA’s Technology Command Center and Tournament Operation Center, providing real-time system monitoring and management throughout the tournament.
Improving the fan experience with AI

In addition to broadcasting, Lenovo will also roll-out several AI-powered innovations to enhance the fan experience of the game.
They include AI-generated 3D player avatars that help with offside decisions, AI-enhanced referee views that are less prone to motion blur, and digital experiences that make matches more immersive for fans both in the stadium and at home.
The technologies are intended to make football more understandable and bring fans closer to the action.
Helping Teams Gain Better Insights

All 48 teams taking part will also benefit from the FIFA AI Pro platform, an AI-powered knowledge assistant that will provide tactical insights and performance analysis.
The initiative supports FIFA’s goal of making advanced analytics more accessible, giving teams greater access to data and football intelligence during the tournament.
Bringing Technology to the World Stage
The FIFA World Cup 2026 project is a great example of how AI, edge computing and real-time infrastructure are being applied outside of the traditional business environment.
The tournament provides Lenovo with an opportunity to demonstrate how intelligent technology can enable large-scale live operations and deliver faster, smarter and more engaging experiences.
