Malaysia’s laptop market is moving into a new phase. AI-powered devices are becoming more common, and Intel is pushing this shift forward.
The Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Malaysia launch brings a new generation of laptops designed for faster performance, better graphics, and improved battery life.
Starting now, these laptops are available from major brands like ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI across local retailers.
Built for AI and Everyday Performance
First introduced at CES 2026, Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 processors are designed for the next wave of AI computing.
The new chips combine a CPU, GPU, and a neural processing unit (NPU) in one system. This allows laptops to handle AI tasks directly on the device, without relying heavily on cloud processing.
This setup supports:
- Smarter productivity tools
- Faster content creation
- Better video calls and collaboration features
The processors are built on Intel’s latest 18A process, focusing on speed and efficiency at the same time.
Strong Performance With Better Efficiency
One of the key improvements is energy use. These new processors are designed to offer longer battery life while still handling demanding tasks.
They also bring stronger AI performance, with up to 50 TOPS of computing power for AI workloads. This helps support features like real-time editing, automation, and smarter applications.
Graphics performance is also upgraded with Intel’s Xe3 architecture. This improves visuals for both work and light gaming.
Overall, the goal is to have a smoother performance without sacrificing portability.
More Choices for Malaysian Users
GloGlobally, more than 200 laptop designs will feature Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. In Malaysia, users can expect a wide range of options rolling out throughout 2026, giving more access to the latest AI-powered devices.
These will include thin and light laptops for daily use, high-performance systems for creators, and gaming-focused devices. This variety gives consumers more flexibility to choose based on their needs and budget.
Expanding AI PCs to More People
Alongside premium devices, Intel is also introducing Core Series 3 processors designed for more affordable laptops. These processors bring AI-ready features at a lower price point, making them suitable for students, families, and small businesses.
Compared to older PCs, they deliver up to 47% better single-task performance and up to 41% better multi-task performance. Users can also expect up to 2.8 times improved AI graphics performance, offering a noticeable upgrade for everyday use.
They also support modern connectivity such as Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, and Bluetooth 6. This ensures faster connections and smoother performance across different devices and applications.
Supporting Malaysia’s Digital Growth
The launch reflects a bigger trend in Malaysia’s digital economy. More users are adopting AI tools for work, study, and daily tasks.
With better hardware, these tools become easier to use and more accessible.
For businesses, it means improved productivity. For students, it supports learning and creativity. For everyday users, it simply makes devices faster and more efficient.
A Step Forward for Everyday Computing
Intel’s latest processors show how laptops are evolving.
AI is no longer limited to high-end systems. It is becoming part of everyday computing, from simple tasks to more advanced workflows.
With wider availability in Malaysia, more users can now access these features.
