There’s something brewing at Hyundai Motor Malaysia, and it’s not just another model launch. From stronger aftersales support to a bold performance debut, 2026 is shaping up to be a milestone year for the brand. And yes, Hyundai N is officially on the horizon.
At a recent business outlook briefing in Kuala Lumpur, Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) laid out a clear roadmap: grow smarter, serve better, and deliver more value to Malaysians nationwide.
A Smarter Hyundai For A New Generation Of Drivers
Hyundai’s focus for 2026 revolves around strengthening its “Smart Premium” positioning, a balance between innovation, practicality, reliability, comfort and premium quality, without pushing prices out of reach.
According to Managing Director Ms Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, Hyundai aims to be the “smarter choice” for customers who want modern design and advanced features while maintaining attainability. It’s a strategic move that reinforces Hyundai’s long-term commitment to Malaysia, not just as a car seller, but as a mobility partner.
To support that vision, Hyundai Motor Malaysia is expanding both its physical footprint and its ownership ecosystem.
Expanding To 25 Outlets Nationwide
Accessibility plays a major role in customer confidence. Currently operating 12 outlets, Hyundai is targeting 25 outlets nationwide by the end of 2026, including stronger representation in East Malaysia.
The company signed Letters of Intent with five new partners in 2025 and another earlier this year, a clear signal that the expansion plan is already in motion. More outlets mean better service coverage, shorter travel distances for customers, and stronger aftersales support.
myHyundaiCare: Strengthening The Ownership Journey
Beyond showroom growth, Hyundai is reinforcing its aftersales strategy through the myHyundaiCare initiative, a holistic ownership campaign designed to lower long-term costs and improve peace of mind.
Key highlights include:
- Lower total ownership costs through revised service and maintenance support
- Reduced hybrid battery replacement costs, replacing only affected modules instead of the entire battery assembly
- Free vehicle inspections and festive service campaigns
- A mobile technical support team to assist dealerships and customers where needed
- Service clinics and owners’ workshops to improve product knowledge
- Continued 8-year / 160,000 km warranty coverage
- Hyundai Protection Plan backed by insurance partners including Allianz, Berjaya Sompo, Etiqa General Takaful, Takaful Ikhlas and Tokio Marine
- Improved parts availability via the Glenmarie warehouse in Shah Alam
This ecosystem approach signals Hyundai’s intention to safeguard vehicle value while building long-term customer relationships.
Hyundai N Set To Ignite Malaysia In 2026

Perhaps the most exciting announcement? The official introduction of Hyundai N in Malaysia.
The high-performance sub-brand will debut with the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N, bringing electrified performance inspired by Hyundai’s motorsport heritage to local roads.
For driving enthusiasts, Hyundai N represents more than speed. It blends advanced EV technology with track-inspired engineering, a bold expansion of Hyundai’s identity in Malaysia. The arrival of Hyundai N positions the brand to compete not just in practicality and comfort, but also in performance and excitement.
Alongside Hyundai N, 2026 will also see:
- The launch of the locally produced new TUCSON and all-new SANTA FE in Q2
- The introduction of a new B-MPV to expand versatility in the lineup
- Continued momentum for the STARIA, including the newly introduced 10-seater variant
The STARIA itself was recently named MPV ICE of the Year at the 2025 Malaysian Car of the Year Awards, further strengthening Hyundai’s credentials in the family and business mobility segment.
Adding to that momentum is the STARIA All-Star Referral Programme, where referrers receive RM500 in service credit while new customers enjoy RM1,500 in additional savings on top of existing promotions, a win-win approach to customer engagement.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s 2026 direction is clear: deeper customer connection, stronger nationwide presence, smarter ownership solutions.

As President Mr Eric Lee put it, Hyundai is here for the long term, sentiasa di sisi anda. And with a growing network, expanded aftersales support and electrifying performance models on the way, 2026 may just be Hyundai’s most dynamic year yet in Malaysia.
