ASICS’ Little Reminders Make Fitness Fun

ASICS Malaysia is turning to the youngest generation for wisdom. The brand launched its “Little Reminders” campaign on 29 June 2025, featuring a team of 7 to 9-year-old children whose mission is to remind adults that exercise should make you feel good.

Inspired by ASICS Europe’s initiative, the Malaysian adaptation brings together children across Southeast Asia to create the world’s first exercise guide made by kids for adults. Through their eyes, exercise becomes joyful, natural, and pressure-free.

A Fresh Take on Movement at Perdana Botanical Garden

To bring the campaign to life, ASICS Malaysia hosted an uplifting event at Kuala Lumpur’s Perdana Botanical Garden. The 3km Fun Run was about celebrating freedom in motion. Families, fitness enthusiasts, and little ones gathered to experience the Little Reminders Workout.

Participants had a chance to try out the kid-designed workout, focusing not on reps or rigid routines, but on how each movement felt. This joyful energy transformed the garden into a playground of laughter, bonding, and rediscovery. It was proof that when the pressure to perform disappears, the joy of movement shines.

Bringing Movement Back to Its Roots

Yogesh Gandhi, Managing Director of ASICS Asia, shared, “Kids move simply because it feels good, no pressure, no goals, just joy. As adults, exercise often becomes another item on the to-do list, tied to appearance or data. With this campaign, we’re letting kids remind us that joy is reason enough.”

ASICS’ philosophy, Anima Sana In Corpore Sano (a sound mind in a sound body) is at the heart of this movement. It’s not about rigid gym plans or chasing perfection. It’s about feeling good in your skin and your sneakers.

Country Manager of ASICS Malaysia, Boon Tib Soom Nik, echoed this vision, emphasizing how the campaign resonated with families: “Fitness is about feeling good. Watching children lead the way has been inspiring.”

Parents Find Their Inner Child Again

For former national cyclist and mother Adilla Noraidillina said “The Little Reminders Workout changed how my child and I approach exercise,” she shared. “We stopped focusing on form and just moved together. I had fun. So did my child. It was exactly what movement should be”

These shared moments, where kids teach adults how to let go, mark a pivotal shift in how fitness can be embraced. Through laughter and simple stretches, the true purpose of exercise returns better moods, stronger minds, and joyful hearts.
