Siemens Healthineers & Triterra Empower Women Entrepreneurs with #SapotLokal 2.0, Raising Over RM17,000

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Siemens Healthineers and Triterra joined forces for #SapotLokal 2.0, an initiative that successfully raised over RM17,000 to support lower middle-income women entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
This campaign provided a vital platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses, gain visibility, and build meaningful networks, fostering financial independence and community empowerment.
Turning Employee Insight into Impact

The idea for #SapotLokal originated from an internal survey at Siemens Healthineers, where 60% of employees expressed a desire for more impactful International Women’s Day initiatives—beyond traditional celebrations.
Recognising this, Siemens Healthineers launched #SapotLokal, partnering with Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ) and Ibupreneur Malaysia to uplift “mother-preneurs”—women who balance entrepreneurship with motherhood.
“We believe in fostering a culture of diversity and inclusivity at Siemens Healthineers,” said Jan Tiedermann, Finance Director of Siemens Healthineers.
“#SapotLokal reflects our commitment to listening to our employees and creating real opportunities for women entrepreneurs to thrive.”
A Shared Vision for Inclusivity & Empowerment

Triterra expanded the campaign’s reach by aligning it with its mission of nurturing vibrant, collaborative communities. As the developer of The MET Corporate Towers, Triterra is more than just an office space provider—it strives to connect changemakers and drive social impact.
“International Women’s Day is about action, not just celebration,” said Christopher Lim, CEO of Triterra.
“By empowering women entrepreneurs, we uplift entire communities. Strengthening our community opens doors to new opportunities, leading to real, lasting change.”
A Powerful Conversations: “Empowered Voices, United Allies”

A key highlight of the campaign was an inspiring panel discussion, featuring:
- Sue Yii Yap, Co-founder of Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ)
- June Hamid, Founder of Winner’s Innovative Entrepreneurial Network (WiEN)
- Christopher Lim, CEO of Triterra
- Jan Tiedermann, Finance Director of Siemens Healthineers
The panel addressed challenges faced by women in both corporate and entrepreneurial spaces, highlighting:
- The importance of mentorship for women in business
- Breaking gender barriers with strong leadership
- The role of male allies in driving gender equality
The discussion aligned with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, #AccelerateAction, emphasizing the urgency of taking immediate action for greater inclusivity in society.
#SapotLokal 2.0: A Marketplace for Change

The event showcased a bustling Ramadan bazaar, featuring products from:
- Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ)
- Ibupreneur Malaysia
- Women of Will (WOW)
Each purchase contributed directly to supporting local women-led businesses, helping them expand their reach and financial stability.
To wrap up the day, participants joined a Sunset Yoga session, sponsored by Anytime Fitness, offering a moment of relaxation and reflection.
Driving Lasting Change

Siemens Healthineers and Triterra remain committed to building a more inclusive society through initiatives like #SapotLokal. The campaign’s success proves that when businesses, communities, and individuals come together, real impact happens.
Let’s continue to #AccelerateAction and create a future where every woman entrepreneur thrives!
