During the monsoon season, many individuals and businesses are facing challenges related to safety and financial stability due to the recent flooding in Malaysia. In response, RHB Banking Group (“RHB” or the “Group”) launched a comprehensive Flood Relief Assistance Programme, designed to provide crucial support to customers impacted by these natural disasters. This initiative will be available until 31 January 2025, offering both immediate financial relief and long-term recovery support for individuals, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and micro-SMEs.
Comprehensive Financial Assistance For Affected Customers
For Individual Customers:
Eligible individual customers can benefit from the following relief measures:
- Payment Deferment: Customers may request a deferment of payments for up to six months (January to June 2025) on Mortgages, Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) Loan/Term Financing-i, Personal Loan/Financing-i, and Hire Purchase/-i facilities.
- Fee Waivers: Late payment charges and interest/management fees on affected Credit Cards/-i will be waived for the same period (January to June 2025). Additionally, replacement fees for ATM, Debit Cards/-i, and Credit Cards/-i will also be waived.
For SME Customers:
Eligible SMEs that are not currently part of a restructuring or rescheduling programme can apply for:
- Payment Relief: Up to six months (January to June 2025) of payment relief for various financing options, including Hire Purchase/-i, Term Loan/Financing-i, Overdraft/-i interest/profit, and Multi Trade Line/-i bill payments.
- Disaster Relief Facility (DRF): Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) can access financing of up to RM700,000 at preferential rates to support their business recovery efforts.
