Collaborating with EPIC Homes, the beloved chocolate brand is channeling efforts to uplift Orang Asli households by allocating RM172,000 to address pressing needs, particularly those exacerbated by overcrowded living conditions.

Addressing Urgent Needs With Sustainable Solutions
KitKat®’s contribution to EPIC Homes extends to critical areas such as home repairs, community upskilling, and the provision of essential resources. The focus is on addressing structural issues and repairing homes in Kampung Orang Asli Songkok and Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Kelubi, Selangor, where many households are grappling with leaking roofs and deteriorating foundations.
In addition to financial aid, KitKat® is equipping Orang Asli communities with home repair tools and skills necessary for long-term sustainability. Over 300 ECOPEAL roofing tiles and panel boards, funded by The CAREton Project, are being utilized in repairs, ensuring eco-friendly solutions and reinforcing resilience within the community.

In addition to home repair materials, Nestlé Cares hampers valued at RM53,000 were distributed to Orang Asli families, reinforcing the company’s commitment to nourishing individuals in need. Each carefully curated package contains essential food items and Nestlé products, providing sustenance during the holy month of Ramadan.

As Ramadan and the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri approach, KitKat® has launched the Menang Break Raya contest, offering participants the chance to win exciting prizes from 7 March to 2 May 2024.
