See the line where the sky meets the sea? It’s Zus Coffee~ This was not your typical New Year celebration. On 3 January 2026, ZUS COFFEE transformed the Port Dickson Waterfront into a vibrant seaside gathering, proving once again that coffee can be more than a drink; it can be a shared experience.
Fresh from opening its 1,000th store globally, the homegrown brand chose to begin 2026 not with fanfare behind closed doors, but with Malaysians, by the coast, at sunset, and to the pulse of music.
A New Year Celebration, ZUS-Style
The Drip & Drop music event marked ZUS COFFEE’s first major moment of the year, drawing crowds to its destination outlet at PD Waterfront. Featuring local deejays Jemput Dengar and Iylia, the event delivered an easygoing soundtrack that mirrored Port Dickson’s relaxed beach culture.
Despite a scheduled 6PM start, fans arrived hours earlier, eager for exclusive giveaways and a first taste of upcoming beverages. As the sky turned gold and the sea breeze rolled in, coffee cups became the unlikely companion to dancing silhouettes and shared conversations.
From A KL Kiosk To A Regional Community
ZUS COFFEE’s story began in 2019 with a single kiosk in Kuala Lumpur. Today, it spans multiple markets including Singapore, the Philippines, Brunei and Thailand, positioning the brand as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing coffee chains.
Yet, amid rapid expansion, its mission remains unchanged: making specialty coffee accessible, not aspirational. That philosophy was evident at PD Waterfront, where the brand chose connection over convention, and experience over scale.
A Destination Store Designed For Unwinding

Unlike a standard grab-and-go outlet, the PD Waterfront store was designed to invite customers to stay. Inspired by Port Dickson’s coastal identity, the space features beach chairs, surfboard accents, natural textures and expansive waterfront views, all carefully curated to reflect a slower, more mindful pace.
The outlet also showcases ZUS COFFEE’s merchandise range, including instant coffee products made with Arabica beans and locally sourced Liberica beans, offering customers a deeper look into the brand beyond the cup.
According to Tony Thein, Co-founder and CEO of ZUS COFFEE Malaysia & Singapore, the goal is simple: to give visitors a place to relax, recharge and feel part of the ZUS world while taking in one of Port Dickson’s most iconic sunsets.
Ending One Chapter, Setting The Tone For The Next

The Port Dickson event also marked the final stop of ZUS COFFEE’s Drip & Drop music series, following earlier editions in Singapore and the Philippines in late 2025. More than a music showcase, the series reflects how the brand approaches growth: By embedding itself into local cultures and communities rather than merely operating within them.
As ZUS COFFEE steps into 2026, the message is clear: expansion may be regional, but connection remains personal. Whether it’s a morning jog by the beach, a sunset walk, or an evening spent dancing with a cup of coffee in hand, ZUS COFFEE is positioning itself not just as a café, but as a constant in everyday moments.
