If you’re passionate about fashion, Taylor’s University is the place to be. Known for its Bachelor of Fashion Design Technology (Honours) programme, this school is all about blending creativity, sustainability, and technological innovation. In 2024, the programme is giving students incredible global exposure, helping them make their mark in the fashion world.
Hands-On Experiences That Spark Creativity
Taylor’s goes all out to give students immersive, real-world experiences that push creative boundaries. At Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week, the final-year students wowed everyone with their unique collection of kids’ clothing. It was a bold move that shook up traditional fashion education. These designs weren’t just creative but also showed off serious technical skills and adaptability. Both qualities are a must-have in today’s fast-changing fashion industry.
Fast fashion is everywhere these days, but the conversation about climate change doesn’t get enough attention. The Live Cool Live Green 2.0: Fashion Revolution Flashmob was another standout moment that addressed this gap. Twenty-seven students displayed their eco-friendly designs in a bustling public space, sparking meaningful conversations about why sustainable fashion matters.
Shining The Spotlight On Talent
Semester 6
This year’s THE SHOW Graduate Showcase was absolutely magical. With themes like “Ethereal,” students brought their eco-conscious ideas to life, creating designs that were both dreamy and innovative. Two standout students even won the “Most Promising Designer” award, thanks to a partnership with Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW). This recognition has opened up amazing opportunities for them, including the chance to dress six front-row celebrities at KLFW 2025.
Afterwards, Taylor’s students took their collection to Fashion Graduate Italia 2024 (FGI24). With its tough selection process and strong reputation, FGI24 gave them amazing exposure to global fashion leaders and audiences. It was the perfect chance for the students to connect with industry influencers and show off the incredible craftsmanship they’ve developed in the programme.
Going Global: Building Future Leaders
Taylor’s is making waves worldwide, as seen in their participation in the Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week 2024. The students’ bold designs and professional approach left audiences in awe. This success proves that Taylor’s is all about shaping fashion’s next big names.
Even industry leaders like Benjamin Toong, founder of Runway Productions by Catwalk Guru, have praised Taylor’s students. According to him:
It has been rewarding to witness the students’ professionalism. Their ability to handle backstage challenges while delivering sophisticated designs reflects the quality of the programme and prepares them for success in the competitive fashion industry.
