SEACare 2025, Malaysia’s flagship healthcare, medical, and pharmaceutical trade event, concluded triumphantly after a packed three-day showcase at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. With over 10,800 trade visitors, 130 exhibiting brands, and potential sales worth RM 1.1 billion, the event has once again underlined Malaysia’s growing role as a central hub for healthcare innovation in the ASEAN region.
More than just a business expo, SEACare 2025 served as a platform for strategic collaboration across sectors such as medtech, biopharma, digital health, and more. Backed by national agencies and industry partners, the event created a high-impact environment for knowledge sharing, networking, and deal-making.
Industry Powerhouses, Startups, and Investors Unite Under One Roof
This year’s SEACare stood out for its diversity of participants and forward-looking initiatives. Companies from 13 countries and markets took part, with strong representation from ASEAN, East Asia, and Europe. Government support from MATRADE, Medical Device Authority (MDA), and SIRIM Berhad helped strengthen global outreach through initiatives like the Hosted Buyers Program and International Sourcing Programme (INSP).
One of the most talked-about highlights was the launch of the Zafar VC Fund in collaboration with 5 Pillar Ventures. Although no immediate funding was announced, eight promising early-stage healthtech and medtech startups pitched to investors, resulting in over 70 new connections across the investment ecosystem. It was a clear sign of SEACare’s evolution into a launchpad for emerging innovators in healthcare.
SEACare 2026 Promises Bigger Platform, Expanded Focus, and Broader Reach

Building on its 2025 success, SEACare is already preparing for a larger-scale return from 28 to 30 April 2026, once again at MITEC. The next edition will welcome 200 exhibiting companies and aim to attract 15,000 trade visitors, with an ambitious target of RM 1.5 billion in potential sales.
SEACare 2026 will also form part of Health Summit Asia 2026, which will integrate three major events:
- SEACare 2026 (Healthcare & Medtech)
- Scientific Convention and Trade Exhibition (SCATE) by the Malaysian Dental Association
- International Wellness Expo (IWE) by Green Wellness
This multi-expo approach will cater to a wider segment of the healthcare industry from wellness and clinical care to scientific research offering even more opportunities for exhibitors and attendees alike.
Richard Teo, Executive Chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia, the organizer behind SEACare, shared, “This year’s momentum both in business potential and regional collaboration sets a strong foundation for 2026. We’re focused on delivering an even more impactful, inclusive platform moving forward.”
