This remarkable accomplishment marks the fourth consecutive time that MBPP has been honored with this distinguished award. The city council previously earned international recognition for the 2018 – 2020, 2020 – 2022, and 2022 – 2024 editions.
Initiated by ASEAN member countries, the ASEAN Tourism Awards aim to recognize and appreciate outstanding tourism contributors within the region. The ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award specifically acknowledges cities that excel in providing superior and high-quality tourist destinations.
A Multifaceted Recognition – Other Categories @ The 2024 ASEAN Tourism Awards
Alongside the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award, the 2024 ASEAN Tourism Awards also bestowed honors in four other categories: ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award, ASEAN Green Hotel Award, ASEAN MICE Venue Award (Exhibition Venue), and ASEAN MICE Venue Award (Meeting Room Category).
