At the 2023 International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Championships in Kuwait, Malaysian bowler Natasha Roslan won the women’s singles championship.
The silver medalist from the global bowling tournament was her countrywoman Sin Li Jane.

Not even a thumb injury. Natasha Roslan, the newly crowned women’s singles champion, continued to lead the pack in the doubles competition at the World Championships despite having a thumb injury, keeping her hopes of winning back-to-back titles alive. It was quite risky as she tore her thumb even before the competition.
Malaysia’s 12 Years Gold Medal Hiatus

After Jacqueline Sijore and Esther Cheah, she is the third Malaysian woman to have captured the global championship. Jacqueline Sijore, representing Malaysia, last won the singles gold at the Hong Kong edition in 2011. The first person to win gold was Esther Cheah, who did it in 2005 in Aalborg, Denmark.

Malaysia finished first and second in the women’s singles competition, ending a 12-year title drought for the nation at the IBF World Championships by virtue of Natasha’s win over Li Jane (259-194, 162-238, 185-165). Natasha Roslan, a bowler, earned her first individual gold medal at the World Championships, and Sin Li Jane, another bowler, helped Malaysia finish 1-2 in the women’s singles competition in Salmiya, Kuwait.
At the global meet in Las Vegas in 2017, Natasha won a team gold medal alongside national bowlers Syaidatul Afifah, Siti Safiyah, Datuk Shalin Zulkifli, and Li Jane.
