Taiwan Pavilion captivates visitors with star-studded appearances, exclusive travel packages, and cultural showcases
Kuala Lumpur, 8 September 2024 – The vibrant atmosphere at MATTA Fair 2024 was amplified by the presence of Salam Taiwan Ambassador Nabila Razali, alongside influencers Intan Serah and Safwan Nazri, at the Taiwan Pavilion. This three-day event at MITEC successfully drew more than a hundred thousands of visitors who are eager to explore Taiwan’s rich cultural and travel opportunities, reinforcing the island’s appeal as a must-visit destination for Malaysian tourists. Nabila was regarded as Malaysian Version “Joline Tsai” by the Taiwanese Media during the Aug Press Conference of Taiwan Tourism Administration during the launching of “Jom Taiwan” promotion video.

Nabila Razali’s Enthralling Appearances
Renowned singer and actress Nabila Razali, was a major highlight of the event. Appointed as Duta Salam Taiwan, she is leading efforts to promote Muslim-friendly tourism for the 2024-2025 period. During her time at the pavilion, she captivated audiences by sharing stories from her three visits to Taiwan. In particular, she spoke about her participation in the “Jom Taiwan” video, which showcases Taiwan’s stunning attractions. Her genuine enthusiasm for Taiwan’s culture and hospitality inspired many attendees to consider the island for their next travel adventure.
When asked to summarize her first impression of Taiwan, Nabila described it as “Breathtaking.” She highlighted some of her favorite scenic spots, including the Bitoujiao Trail for hiking, Jingtong Station for its historical charm, and the Sicao Green Tunnel for its serene, healing environment.

Taiwan Tourism Administration Emphasize Strengthening Tourism Ties
During the event, key figures reinforced the importance of enhancing tourism ties between Malaysia and Taiwan. Chou Shih-Pi, Director of Taiwan Tourism Administration KL Office, remarked, “We are excited to strengthen the tourism ties between Malaysia and Taiwan, bringing our cultures closer together and enriching the travel experiences of visitors from both nations.
Pheobe Yeh, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Malaysia, added, “Our collaborative efforts are focused on enhancing the travel experience for Malaysian tourists, ensuring they can explore Taiwan’s diverse offerings with ease and enjoyment.”

Influencers Intan Serah and Safwan Nazri Energize the Pavilion
Influencer and national athlete Intan Serah made a notable impact on 6 September with her dynamic presence. As Malaysia’s first female footballer to gain international recognition, she shared her personal journey in sports and acting, and encouraged attendees to travel and explore new horizons. Engaging fans in interactive sessions, Intan rewarded participants with exclusive prizes, including free trips to Taiwan.
Safwan Nazri, known for his vibrant social media content, further enlivened the Taiwan Pavilion. Sharing insights into Taiwan’s scenic landscapes, diverse cuisine, and rich culture, he added an element of fun by hosting live giveaways, much to the excitement of visitors.
