
Malaysia will host its first-ever Disney’s The Lion King Live in Concert this June, bringing a unique film and music experience to local audiences. The event will take place at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 13 June 2026, with two shows scheduled in the afternoon and evening.
The concert combines a full screening of the classic 1994 film with a live orchestra performance, offering a new way to experience one of Disney’s most loved stories.
A Special Film and Orchestra Experience
The performance will feature the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Malaysia, led by Resident Conductor Eric Lee. As the film plays on the big screen, the orchestra will perform Hans Zimmer’s award-winning score live.
This format allows audiences to enjoy the story of Simba with a deeper and more immersive sound experience.

The Lion King remains one of Disney’s most iconic films, loved by audiences of all ages. From the journey of Simba to the music by Elton John, Tim Rice, and Hans Zimmer, the story continues to connect with both new and long-time fans.
