Mesra-Ibadah Healthcare Centre

KMI Healthcare takes pride in its ‘Mesra Ibadah’ practices. It reflects a deep understanding and respect for the religious and spiritual dimensions of patient care. Religious officers who are trained and experienced in providing spiritual and emotional support are available to assist with prayer and worship. A dedicated team of counsellors are also available to provide emotional support to patients and their families during their hospitalisation.

Their Future Plans

In the interview, they mentioned several future plans that stem from the desire to increase engagement with the public. This is yet another initiative they make to bond with the people. 

Firstly, they mentioned that a few expansions will be done to their upcoming centres. There will be a few expansions that include the development of the new wing in KMI Kuantan, that will be housing 80 additional beds to its current 155 bed capacity. This is to ensure there are sufficient bed capacities for their patients. On the other hand, this initiative also shows that KMI is attentive to the public demands, who acknowledge the quality of the healthcare services that KMI takes pride in.

Meanwhile, TDM Berhad, the parent company of KMI Healthcare is acquiring full stake in Hospital Bersalin Razif Sdn. Bhd which will later become their latest KMI healthcare centre.

Other than that, KMI Healthcare is also planning to organise a sports event in Kuantan, one of their biggest centres. This event is synonymous with their belief that everyone is important and should be treated equally. They mentioned about the shortage of manpower that stems from an inadequate supply of medical talent in Malaysia. Furthermore, they also mentioned about medical talents in Malaysia who opt for opportunities outside of Malaysia, which adds more stress onto this topic.

However, KMI has prepared themselves in tackling this universal issue. One of them is that they plan to conduct a series of career talks in educational institutions in Malaysia.
