The Journey Of KMI

KMI Healthcare began their journey in 1996, starting with 2 hospitals which are located at Kelana Jaya, Selangor, and Kuantan, Pahang. By 2016, they had 4 hospitals and 297 bed capacities. This confirms their claim as a fast-growing business division under TDM Berhad, as mentioned by Dr. Rayney Azmi, KMI Healthcare’s Chief Executive Officer.
In 2019, they launched their own Catherisation-Lab (Cath Lab) in KMI Kuantan Medical Centre. In the following year, their healthcare centre in Terengganu was awarded the first Private Hospital offering Intervention Cardiology services. This is during the same year when they have 5 operating healthcare centres up their sleeves, as well as a 419-bed capacity.

KMI Healthcare has made it clear that by rebranding themselves, they have set up a brighter future ahead of themselves. This took place in 2021. These changes were made to reflect their dynamic and strengths. This is due to their gradual growth in the country’s healthcare industry.
Blue is famous for its cool and calming tone, which indicates healing. However, by slightly warming up the tone, they get another shade of blue. This reflects their drive to carve a new appearance in the medical sector.
In 2022, one of KMI chain of hospitals, KMI Kuantan Medical Centre, attained the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) standards accreditation for four years. This set a new benchmark to strive for ongoing improvements. They also bagged the BrandLaureate Corporate Excellence in Healthcare – Private Hospitals.
Finally, to highlight their latest and proudest achievement, they received two awards: Healthcare Asia Awards 2023 for Patient Care Initiative of the Year 2023, and Service Delivery Innovation Initiative of the Year.
