As Merdeka approaches and highways begin to fill with festive travellers, one question lingers in every journey: Are you prepared to travel safely and healthily?. This year, KMI Healthcare and AFA PRIME Berhad (AFA) are stepping in to ensure Malaysians can journey with confidence. In a special Merdeka initiative, both organisations distributed 1,000 complimentary KMI Jaga Anda Mini Medical Kits at the Gombak Toll Plaza. It is a thoughtful effort to ensure holidaymakers can travel with ease and peace of mind.
In Line with The Spirit of Care

The initiative is part of KMI Healthcare’s Kesihatan Memenuhi Impian campaign and AFA’s broader road safety programme. Both have the same aim at alleviating concerns during one of the year’s busiest travel seasons. With safety taken care of, families can focus on what truly matters most, coming home to their loved ones.
Each traveller received a thoughtfully packed kit complete with basic first-aid essentials, bottled mineral water, and a reusable bag. Although it is a simple item, it carries a powerful message: health and safety should always be with you, no matter how short or long the trip. Apart from that, it is more than just items, but they are reminders to stay safe, hydrated, and well-prepared throughout the festive travels.

Community, Care and Togetherness

The distribution was warmly welcomed by the steady flow of holiday travellers. It was led by volunteers and representatives from both organisations. Beyond offering essentials, the initiative reflected a deeper spirit of community care, responsibility, and unity. This encouragement is important, especially during Merdeka season as well as when roads are busiest and safety takes centre stage.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of KMI Healthcare shared,
“This campaign extends KMI Healthcare’s mission to make healthcare more accessible wherever Malaysians are – even on the road. By equipping travellers with the KMI Jaga Anda Kit, we want to remind everyone that their health and safety should never take a backseat or hold you back, especially during festive seasons when the desire to be with loved ones is strongest.”

Commitment to Safer Journeys

Besides, the General Manager and Head of AFA PRIME Berhad added,
“As the highway concessionaire of the KL-Karak and East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1), this Merdeka collaboration with KMI Healthcare reflects our shared concern for travellers, and we will continue to explore meaningful ways to support Malaysians on the road. As we expand and upgrade our highways, we remain dedicated to ensuring that every journey is not only efficient and sustainable, but also safe, meaningful and connected to the people who matter most.”
Encik Ibrahim Tambi Cik Mohamad, General Manager and Head of AFA PRIME Berhad
