Followed by the ease of economic activities announced by the government, IKEA Malaysia has reopened their outlets in Cheras and Damansara to fully vaccinated individuals on 19 August. Today, the furniture outlet announced the reopening of another outlet in Batu Kawan, strictly for fully-vaccinated individuals too.
Before heading to the IKEA outlets in Malaysia, here are a few important things to note.
Fully vaccinated individuals must fulfil the following criteria:
- Individuals with vaccines requiring 2 doses (Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac) must have completed 14 days from the date of 2nd dose
- Individuals with vaccines requiring 1 dose (Johnson & Johnson and CanSino) must have completed 28 days from the date of that dose

According to IKEA’s statement, you may continue to shop online 24/7 if you are not able to visit their outlets. They will provide a contactless delivery to your house. However, a pre-approval from your management of residence is needed for the delivery.
They are currently giving 50% off Truck delivery and only RM10 for Parcel Delivery.
Meanwhile, the IKEA’s restaurants, bistros, Swedish Food Market and Café are open strictly for delivery. You can order their meals via the Bungkusit and foodpanda delivery platform or through takeaway, and order and collect at the outlets.
