Furthermore, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has won the Network Track competition and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Kampar) obtained the Computing Track top honors. The winners credited their success to dedicated instructors and Huawei’s robust ICT training programs.

Six instructors were named “Most Dedicated Instructors,” while six universities, including Universiti Malaysia Sabah and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), were recognized as Huawei Malaysia Outstanding ICT Academies 2024. Also, the grand prize winners will proceed to the regional level in February 2025.
Huawei’s Dedication To Education
During the awards, Universiti Malaysia Sabah Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj Mansur, highlighted Huawei’s alignment with UMS’s mission to foster skilled digital leaders. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange was also signed between Huawei and the Ministry of Higher Education to promote collaboration in technology and education, which incorporates state-of-the-art facilities.
Huawei Malaysia also conducted the Digital Talent Forum Day 2024 earlier in the day, which convened over 100 instructors from 30 universities, industry leaders, and government representatives to discuss strategies for advancing digital transformation and ICT education in Malaysia.
