The wait is finally over! After months of searching, pouring, and Tilt Testing, Guinness Malaysia has officially named its very first Chief Pint Officers (CPOs). Also, for one lucky winner, the journey does not end here, it continues in Dublin, the home of Guinness.
A Battle for Malaysia’s Coolest Job

From hundreds of passionate entries nationwide, only ten made it to the grand showdown. Their mission was simple yet challenging: to prove they had what it took to become Guinness-quality ambassadors. The champions were tested on their ability to spot a flawless pour, uphold the brand’s gold standard, and share where to find the best Guinness in town.
Following a high-stakes finale, three contenders were crowned CPOs and claimed the coveted title:
- Chia Pui Kwun (Alam Damai, Kuala Lumpur) – Grand Chief Pint Officers, bound for Dublin
- Ong Li Min (Cameron Highlands, Pahang)
- Thiban Anadcaan @Eaganathan (Rawang, Selangor)

The newly crowned Grand Guinness Chief Pint Officer (CPO), Chia Pui Kwun.
The Journey to Becoming a Chief Pint Officer

This was not a typical recruitment process. Finalists were discovered through their pint-perfect skills showcased on Instagram. It is based on their skills of spotting, tilting, and posting their way to the top of the weekly leaderboard.
The grand finale at Arthur’s Storehouse, Pavilion pushed the finalists to their limits with:
- The Tilt Test, live and under pressure
- A Guinness-themed trivia challenge to test their knowledge
- Hands-on pouring challenges judged by Guinness ambassadors and stout lovers
- A test of the legendary 7Cs of the Perfect Pour, from Cleanliness to Confidence
In the end, it was not just about skill. The winners stood out because they carried the passion, pride, and precision that Guinness represents.
So, What Comes with the Title?

What does it mean to be a Chief Pint Officer? Beyond the bragging rights, the new CPOs are rewarded with:
- A monthly allocation of Guinness products
- RM150 credit at Arthur’s Storehouse, the flagship outlet
- VIP invitations to exclusive Guinness events
- A special birthday celebration worth RM888
- For the Grand CPO: an all-expenses-paid trip to Dublin, home of the legendary Guinness Storehouse
But more than the prizes, it’s about carrying the Guinness legacy forward. The Marketing Manager at Guinness Malaysia said,
“What stood out wasn’t just their knowledge of the perfect pint of Guinness — it was their deep passion for the brand, their ability to recognise and celebrate quality, and the personal pride they took in every moment of the journey. That’s the spirit of Guinness, and it’s what we saw in our three CPOs. We’re excited to see how they’ll carry that torch forward and inspire others to appreciate and uphold the quality standard that Guinness is known for.”
Joyce Lim, Marketing Manager at Guinness Malaysia
What’s Next for the CPOs?

The journey does not end at the finale. Over the next few months, Guinness fans can keep an eye out for these Guinness ambassadors. They will be sharing pint tips, spotlighting the best bars, and maybe even dropping in at your favourite spot. If you see them, you will know the pint in your hand has been poured with the care and craft Guinness is famous for.
So, the next time you raise a Guinness, remember the Tilt Test. If the foam holds steady when you tip the glass, you have got yourself a pint worthy of celebration!
